It has been numerous months since Markelle Fultz's shoulder injury has affected him. Now, it has been a common topic of whether Fultz's shooting stroke will ever improve. Head coach Brett Brown commented on the state of his young point guard and how far he is from being whole, according to Derek Bodner of the Athletic.

“The hesitancy, at times, we see with [Markelle's] shot is true. It's real. He can still impact an NBA game without having to shoot. That doesn't make him whole, though.”

Brown has commented that Fultz is fully healthy, but his shot isn't straight like it used to be, according to ESPN.

“The organization will help him reclaim the reason he was the first pick chosen in the NBA draft. “It's reclaiming the shot that he used to have,” Brown said. The timeline of when that happens, none of us know. But I feel like there is discomfort in his shoulder and it does affect his shot.” He's a rise-up guy. He's a live-ball, off-the-dribble, rise-up guy. A Kyle Korver type, that wasn't who he was,” Brown said. “He was a wiggly, do-what-he-wants-to guard. So you go back and you say, ‘How can you find that again?'”

It isn't clear when Fultz will play again, but the 76ers and Brown are clearly playing things safe. They want Fultz to return to the lineup with a knock-down jumpshot, but it just isn't happening yet. However, in the past the 76ers struggled to keep Joel Embiid healthy. Now, Embiid has transformed into one of the best centers in the NBA. Hopefully, Fultz is the next player to embark in that transition.
