These days are exciting ones for sports fans in the great city of Philadelphia. Not only are the 76ers in contention to make it to the playoffs for the first time in six years, but the Eagles have already secured their spot in the Super Bowl on February 4 against the New England Patriots. As expected, some Sixers players have already expressed their interest to watch the game live but Brett Brown has not given his permission to them yet.

However, Brett Brown has made a deal with his players that if they swept their next eight games starting on Monday against the Memphis Grizzlies, the whole team will attend Super Bowl LII via a charter flight from Indiana to Minnesota, according to NBCS Philadelphia’s Molly Sullivan.

The veteran head coach’s move can be considered a brilliant one as it will motivate his players to perform even better in order to watch Super Bowl LII live and support the Eagles. Should they win all eight games, it will also benefit the team as it will boost their campaign and strengthen their bid for a postseason appearance.

The Sixers currently have a 22-20 record, good for seventh place in the Eastern Conference. They have won their last three assignments and reaching their agreement will take them to eight games above .500 which could possibly move them to one of the top four seeds in their conference depending on how the other teams above them will fare. Should the players complete their end of the bargain, it will definitely raise their confidence and even give them more belief that they could compete against the powerhouses in the East to make a deep run in the playoffs.
