Newly-appointed Philadelphia 76ers interim General Manager Brett Brown has recently reiterated his team's desire to add a high-caliber free agent to their young and hungry core this summer.

Although they already have a formidable side that made it to the second round of the Playoffs just two years removed from a 10-win season, Brown believes that they are still missing another piece. The 76ers have substantial cap space, and this leaves them with a lot of wiggle room this summer.

“I think we need more,” said the 57-year-old. “I feel what people should most hear is that in the event that we do not get that, we’re going to be very aggressive, and people understand the cap space that we have. In the event that we are not successful this year achieving that, we can reload and do the same thing next year.. We are completely exploring aggressively all options, and I think we just know we need a little bit more,”

LeBron James is obviously the first name that comes to mind and he has been linked heavily to Philadelphia in recent weeks. However, Brown has also set his sights on Kawhi Leonard, who reportedly has a strong desire to part ways with the San Antonio Spurs.

“He’s a great guy,” Brett Brown said. “I’ve spent years with him, as you know, in San Antonio. I’m reminded of the recruiting process we went through to identify him and the sort of pain we went through to give up George Hill to move up and target him. He’s good people, he’s obviously an elite talent and I enjoyed my time with Kawhi in San Antonio.”

Brown and his 76ers are definitely in a great position at the moment. They should be able to scoop up a formidable free agent this summer, which will make them a force to be reckoned with for years to come.
