The Philadelphia 76ers have still failed to trade Ben Simmons as the saga continues. While there have been reports that a deal could come to fruition by the deadline next month, it's also expected the Aussie will sit out the rest of the season if he's not moved by then. Well, if you're asking former Sixers star and current NBA analyst Charles Barkley, he's seen enough. The Hall of Famer just wants to see Philadelphia cut ties.

Via TMZ Sports:

“He's never going to play another game in Philly,” Barkley said. “The fans won't forgive him.”

“They have to make a trade,” he added. “You have to move on from a bad relationship. They're not using him and Joel Embiid has been playing great this year, so they're wasting his talents.”

That is easier said than done, Chuck. Sixers president Daryl Morey remains adamant that he won't accept anything less than a superstar in return for Simmons. At the trade deadline, this is simply not going to happen. Morey is eyeing the likes of Bradley Beal and Damian Lillard, while recent reports state that James Harden could be on his radar as well.

Even though the Sixers organization is being supportive of Simmons' mental health, the fans are clearly done with the entire fiasco. At this point, it would be best for all parties involved to move on.
