Philadelphia 76ers sharpshooter Danny Green got his 2020 championship ring with the Los Angeles Lakers even before he received his 2019 ring with the Toronto Raptors.

Fortunately, the long wait is about to be over when his Sixers play the Raptors in Canada next season–that is barring any health or other issues, of course.

The Sixers are scheduled to visit the Raptors at Scotiabank Arena on December 28, which is likely when Toronto would present Green with his championship ring. The veteran guard has always wanted to get the piece of silverware in front of home fans, which has been the cause of  its delay for over two years now.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the fact that the Raptors played in Tampa during the 2020-21 season, there was really never an opportunity for Danny Green to get his ring over the past couple of years. However, with the schedule getting back to normal and Toronto all set to play at home once again, the wait is coming to an end.

As mentioned, Green already got his ring with the Lakers when his Sixers visited Staples Center last March. Along with Dwight Howard (who was also with Philly at the time), they got their silverware, albeit with no home fans in attendance.

Hopefully, it will be a different one for Green in Toronto. After all, he played an important role for the Raptors alongside Kawhi  Leonard to lead the franchise to its lone NBA title.
