Philadelphia 76ers forward Dario Saric might want to consider the idea of wearing goggles during games. According to Derek Bodner of The Athletic, Saric is being evaluated after hurting both his eyes during practice.

Saric is currently listed questionable for Thursday’s matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers at home this Thursday, though the injury doesn’t seem to be serious enough to keep him from participating in that contest. The Sixers could merely just be practicing caution here, but in the event that Philadelphia rules Dario Saric out for the Lakers game, Richaun Holmes and Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot are going to be in line to get extra minutes on the floor versus the visiting Lakers.

It would be a downer for the Sixers if Saric wouldn’t be able to play Thursday, as the Croatian has stepped it up on the court of late. Saric is averaging 11.4 points and 6.5 rebound per game this season, but over the last five contests, he has averaged 15.4 points and 8.8 rebounds while shooting 49.2 percent from the floor.

With the momentum he’s been having, Dario Saric could be expected to play – if he does indeed – much better on Thursday than he had in the previous meeting with the Lakers, when he only scored seven points on 3-of-10 shooting from the field, albeit in a 115-109 road win on Nov. 15.
