The discussion on whether or not the NBA should alter its logo has been rekindled due to Kyrie Irving's recent comments on the matter. Despite Irving's opinion on the subject, Doc Rivers — the head coach of the Philadelphia 76ers — believes there shouldn't be a change to the NBA's logo right now.

Rivers recently went on The Rich Eisen Show and was asked about Irving's opinion on changing the logo to Kobe Bryant, who was Kyrie Irving's choice as the next logo. While Rivers gave props to Bryant, he proceeded to say that Michael Jordan is the most deserving player to replace Jerry West as the logo.

At the same time, Rivers also pointed out that he isn't a fan of making changes to something just to make a change. The longtime head coach and former player said that West is more than deserving of remaining the logo, and he hasn't done anything to warrant a change.

Of course, with Bryant passing away last year, many people brought up the idea of having Bryant replace West as the logo of the NBA. The idea never seemed to gain traction as the league seems content with keeping West as the logo for the foreseeable future.

Irving, who was close to Bryant, and is a player who emulates his game after the legendary guard of the Los Angeles Lakers, is attempting to create a conversation to alter the league's logo. While Irving continues to advocate for a change to occur, Rivers doesn't believe right now is the time to do it.
