Philadelphia 76ers head coach Doc Rivers seems to be unbothered as his team is set to host another strong contender in the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday night.

As per Derek Bodner, he claimed that he didn't know that they were about to play Kevin Durant and company until he walked in that particular interview.

Sure, Doc. Either he's trying to play it cool, or he hasn't been doing his due diligence in scouting upcoming matchups. More than likely though, it's the former.

The two teams are neck-and-neck for the top spot in the Eastern Conference as the 76ers are currently holding the first seed with a 37-17 record. Meanwhile, the Nets are not too far behind as they are only trailing by a game with a 36-17 slate.

Philadelphia is coming off an impressive victory against the Dallas Mavericks on Monday night. All-Star big man Joel Embiid had another monster performance with 36 points and seven rebounds through 25 minutes of action.

Though he didn't get to receive much help from his Sixers teammates, his production was still enough to lift his team to a 113-95 victory over the Mavericks.

On the other hand, the Nets are coming off a 25-point drubbing from the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday night. Without James Harden, Durant led the team with 22 points, seven rebounds, and five assists.

However, it wasn't enough as the Lakers came out with a collaborative effort despite not having both LeBron James and Anthony Davis on the floor. The Purple and Gold leaned on their other key players as they cruised to a 126-101 upset victory over the Nets.

After the loss, Brooklyn was supposed to visit the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday night but the tilt was eventually postponed in the wake of the Daunte Wright shooting.

The Eastern Conference showdown between the two teams will definitely be a must-watch as the Nets are raring to bounce back from their tough defeat and aim to put up a better fight against the top-seeded Sixers on Wednesday night.
