The Philadelphia 76ers saga with Ben Simmons continues to have its many twists and turns. The latest revelation on Simmons is that the Sixers star is upset with Joel Embiid for seemingly blaming him for the team's playoff loss last year. Simmons also reportedly is still upset at head coach Doc Rivers for not coming to see him during the summer. While speaking to the Bucks County Courier Times, Rivers dropped a savage truth bomb on the Simmons situation.

But, listen, some of this stuff I laugh at and I feel bad. I think Ben's a good kid. I want Ben to do well.”

“We need people to tell us the truth,” Rivers said. “Unfortunately as a coach in the NBA, I have to do it a lot. I've accepted it as a coach over the years. Some handle it well (and) some don't. Sometimes I don't deliver it well, even though I try. I'm not perfect, either.

Sixers head coach Doc Rivers said that he “laughs at some of the stuff” involving Ben Simmons. Rivers is probably sick and tired of hearing about it! But talk about a spicy quote from the former NBA player and current Philadelphia head coach.

Rivers said that people need to be told the truth, implying that that is what he did for Simmons. While the Sixers head coach did acknowledge that he sometimes doesn't deliver the truth in the best way, he also said that some don't handle the truth as well as others.

While Ben Simmons seems to have a laundry list of issues with how he was treated by the Sixers, Doc Rivers doesn't seem to have a single regret with how the situation played out.
