The Philadelphia 76ers are poised to have one of the more dangerous offenses in the NBA after the acquisition of James Harden from the Brooklyn Nets. Harden, one of the best scorers in the league, gives Philly a legitimate MVP-caliber player alongside star center Joel Embiid. One of the bigger questions about the Sixers, besides the fit of Embiid alongside Harden, was the playing time of the two stars. Many speculated about head coach Doc Rivers staggering the minutes of the two, effectively ensuring that one is always on the floor for Philly. On Thursday, Rivers revealed his plan for Harden, Embiid and the Sixers' other stars in the rotations he plans to make, as reported by ESPN NBA writer Tim Bontemps.

Sixers head coach Doc Rivers said that he plans to make rotations that always include at least two of James Harden, Joel Embiid, Tobias Harris and Tyrese Maxey. Rivers said his thinking is that by doing so, Philly will always have “consistent offensive threats” out there on the floor.

Rivers' idea certainly makes sense, as that quartet can rival almost any other teams' top four offensive players. Judging by his comments, it sounds like Rivers plans to stagger Harden's and Embiid's minutes at times. It could also make sense to stagger Harden and Maxey's minutes, as they figure to be the two primary ball-handlers.

Sixers fans should not only be excited about the addition of Harden, but how Rivers plans to utilize him alongside Embiid and Philly's other talents.
