Philadelphia 76ers guard Ben Simmons has been receiving an ample amount of criticism for not adding a 3-point shot to his arsenal. Many believe that this would bring his game to a whole new level. But for Sixers head coach Doc Rivers, he's not really worried if Simmons takes triples or not.

Per Tom Moore of The Intelligencer, Rivers had an interesting and strong take on Simmons' 3-point woes. While most Sixers fans constantly berate the Australian to add that steady stroke to his game, Rivers believes that Ben knows what's best for himself at the end of the day.

Ben Simmons' lack of a reliable stroke from deep has been taken advantage of by opposing teams. There are several highlight clips going around on how teams defend, or rather slack off when Simmons has the ball beyond the arc.

Most people believe that Simmons has a chance to be one the best players today if he just practices his shot more. On the contrary, there are those who believe that he doesn't really need to add that to his arsenal because his passing and vision are so elite.

But Simmons himself hinted at his desire to expand his game. In a workout ahead of the NBA restart, the Sixers guard was seen tossing up shots from deep and draining every single one. Tony Snell noticed Simmons' newfound stroke and prodded the 24-year-old to shoot more. Simmons boldly declared that he would be “coming for it” in Orlando, marking a renewed confidence.
