FiveThirtyEight's CARMELO forecast has given the Philadelphia 76ers the best chance to win the 2020 NBA Finals. The statistical analysis site gives the Sixers a 27% chance of winning the championship next season.

The Sixers are followed by the Houston Rockets (25%), Los Angeles Lakers (13%), Milwaukee Bucks (10%), Golden State Warriors (9%) and Los Angeles Clippers (5%).

Philadelphia lost All-Star small forward Jimmy Butler and shooting guard JJ Redick in free agency, but the team rebounded by signing All-Star big man Al Horford and acquiring combo guard Josh Richardson from the Miami Heat in the Butler sign-and-trade deal.

The Sixers re-signed Tobias Harris to the richest deal in franchise history and gave Ben Simmons a rookie scale contract extension. Philly now has a lethal Big 4 of Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons, Tobias Harris and Al Horford. With Kawhi Leonard in the Western Conference now, the Sixers have a great chance at winning the Eastern Conference. They lost to Leonard and the Toronto Raptors in the second round of the 2019 playoffs in seven games on that epic game-winner by Leonard.

The Bucks are the other team in the East many believe has a shot to win it all. It wouldn't be a surprise if the Sixers and Bucks meet in the 2020 Eastern Conference Finals. For Philly to win the title, Embiid has to stay healthy, Harris has to develop into a closer, and Simmons has to have some resemblance of a jump shot.
