Gilbert Arenas is rather known for his explosive comments nowadays, now that he is fully retired from the NBA. It seems that Arenas has found a new topic to discuss, and it is Philadelphia 76ers rookie Markelle Fultz and his jump shot.

According to Reddit user “poojiggles,” Arenas had an interesting take regarding Fultz' broken jump shot.

“I'll take Joakim Noah's shot over Fultz… Fultz will never get that shot off.”

It is true. Fultz' jumpshot is painful to watch and it's slowly progressing, but Arenas seems determined that Fultz will never get his shot off. He even said that he will take Noah's shot over Fultz, which attests to how confident he is in his claims.

Nonetheless, Fultz' shooting woes are definitely serious. According to a quote from Fultz' agent, Raymond Brothers, from back in October, his client is unable to shoot the ball at the professional level.

“Markelle had a shoulder injury and fluid drained out of the back of his shoulder,” said Brothers. “He literally cannot raise up his arms to shoot the basketball. He decided to try and fight through the pain to help the team. He has a great attitude. We are committed to finding a solution to get Markelle back to 100 percent. From a basketball perspective, it’s been encouraging to see that Markelle can get any shot he wants during the games, but he has been unable to shoot the ball.”

Arenas has always been quick to express his views on popular sports topics, even if it negatively regards NBA players. Hopefully, Fultz can return to the NBA with a repaired jump shot in the near future.
