It has been nothing short of a frustrating start to the season for Philadelphia 76ers third-year big man Jahlil Okafor as he has found himself on the outside looking for playing time.

In fact, Okafor has made just one appearance in the first six games that have only increased the trade chatter around him. Despite that, he has remained persistent on getting playing time on the court this season, according to Jessica Camerato of NBC Sports.

The 21-year-old has quickly fallen out of the rotation with offseason addition Amir Johnson taking up minutes as the backup to Joel Embiid. This has created a huge logjam for minutes in the Sixers frontcourt as he has to compete for playing time alongside Dario Saric that have further complicated things.

All of this appears to be making further way for Jahlil Okafor's exit as his utter lack of playing time despite being healthy is a clear indication that his time with the Sixers could be nearing an end shortly. His struggles to fit into the system that the Sixers have put in place have extenuated the situation for the front office to find a feasible trade to move him.

It could be only a matter of time before the former third overall pick has a new home in the NBA.
