Iverson was in attendance in the Sixers' 119-114 win over the Phoenix Suns. Right after the victory, Allen Iverson hopped onto the floor to share some words with the current Sixers players. Below is a video of him and Jimmy Butler sharing a moment:

Per Shams Charania of The Athletic, Iverson spoke about the current Sixers squad. He briefly recalled the team in 2001 which he guided all the way to the NBA Finals. Given that they now have three superstars in the roster coupled with great role players, Iverson believes that Philadelphia now has another legitimate shot at the title.

“I love our guys — Jo, Ben — having their own identity. I love them having three superstars on this squad. The greatest thing we’ll see unfold is all of the role players accepting their responsibilities, what they have to do, and let the stars be stars. That’s what we did in 2001. This way, you don’t have to lean on one person every night. We got a collective group of guys night in and night out.”

“We got a chance now.”

Butler chipped in 16 points in 32 minutes. Joel Embiid also contributed 33 points and 17 rebounds, Ben Simmons had 19 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists, while Mike Muscala and JJ Reddick added 19 and 17 points, respectively. Though they struggled early on, the Sixers now have a 12-7 record and are on a three-game winning streak.
