Philadelphia 76ers All-Star Jimmy Butler isn't concerned about a potential long-term feud with Detroit Pistons star Blake Griffin, as he told teammate J.J. Redick on his podcast for The Ringer. The Sixers new acquisition put it bluntly, as he always does.

ā€œBlake can't score on me,ā€ said Butler. ā€œI don't care what you say. You heard that, Blake? Ain't worried about you.ā€

The Sixers are coming off back-to-back wins over the Pistons, the first which had Butler's fingerprints all over the game with a game-high 38 points, six rebounds, six assists and three steals.

The second meeting between the two teams had Griffin take a seat on the bench with a DNP (rest). Butler only played 10 minutes before departing with a groin injury and is now listed as doubtful for the Sixers' upcoming matchup with the Brooklyn Nets.

The bad blood between Butler and Griffin stems from the Pistons and Sixers' third meeting of the season, where the two had to get separated after Griffin landed an elbow on Butler following a play at the rim.

Butler was not Griffin's primary defender throughout the game but he did take a few turns defending him and effectively shutting him down. The vast majority of Griffin's team-high 31 points came from a parade to the free-throw line, where he made 17 of his 24 attempts.

Fortunately for the Pistons, the Sixers won't play the Pistons again for the rest of the year unless they happen to meet in the playoffs.
