The Philadelphia 76ers were eliminated from the second round of the playoffs for the second straight year on Sunday night, losing to the Toronto Raptors in a thrilling Game 7.

With the loss, 76ers head coach Brett Brown is now on the hot seat, with some feeling that he is done in Philadelphia.

However, Sixers wing Jimmy Butler feels Brown will be in Philly for the foreseeable future:

“(Our relationship) is constantly growing, that's for sure,” Butler said of Brown, according to Derek Bodner of The Athletic. “I think he realized how different of a human being I am. How I can be difficult at times, but I swear it's from a good place. … He has a huge heart. He's a great, great dude that works incredibly hard. I think he's gonna be here for a long time.”

The 76ers acquired Butler in a trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves back in November, and early on in Butler's tenure with Philadelphia, there were reports that he was clashing with Brown.

Brown took over as Philly's head coach back in 2013 and has gone 178-314 over six years with the club. Of course, that record is a bit misleading, as the 76ers were openly tanking in Brown's first few seasons, with the team failing to reach 20 wins in any of his first three seasons at the helm.

Over the last two years, Brown has led the Sixers to 52 and 51 wins, respectively, to go along with a pair of second-round playoff exits.

As for Butler? He will be an unrestricted free agent this summer.
