The Philadelphia 76ers have been clicking on all cylinders as of late with their win over the Toronto Raptors on Monday. A large part of their success has been thanks to the stellar play of shooting guard JJ Redick.

Redick has been one of the most consistent contributors on this upstart Sixers team. Unfortunately, they will need to find a way to fill the void after the team announced on Twitter that he has been ruled out and will be re-evaluated in two weeks due to the leg injury late in the 117-111 win versus Toronto:

With 4:37 remaining in the fourth quarter of last night's game, JJ Redick sustained an injury to his left leg resulting from contact with an opponent. He underwent X-rays following the game last night, which were negative. An MRI was performed late this afternoon that revealed bone edema and a small cortical crack in the fibular head of his left leg. Redick is out and will be re-evaluated in approximately 10 days to two weeks.

The news certainly deals a blow to the Sixers, who had been relying on Redick as their most lethal threat from deep. The veteran sharpshooter had been averaging 17.3 points on 40.5 percent shooting from three-point land. He also managed to pour in 3.3 assists and 2.8 rebounds per game as well.

Redick had been at his best after Philadelphia managed to win three out of their first four games to start the new year. Unfortunately, the timing could not be any worse as the Sixers get ready to take on the Boston Celtics at the TD Garden on Thursday night.
