Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid took his recent frustrations at the rim, as he slammed one hard over two Washington Wizards defenders in the early proceedings of their Friday showdown.

Embiid, who was playing his first game back after the All-Star break, was unstoppable after he escaped his defender with a spin move before dunking the ball with  authority–even despite the help defense that came.

For what it's worth, Sixers fans will probably understand where Joel Embiid is coming from. After all, not only did he miss Thursday's game against the Chicago Bulls, but he was also not able to suit up for the All-Star Game last week due to the league's health and safety protocol.

To recall, Embiid and his Sixers teammate Ben Simmons was ruled out of the annual showcase after receiving a haircut from a barber who tested positive for COVID-19  later on. They had to be quarantined as contact tracing was done.

Luckily for Embiid, he did not contract the virus and got negative results in his COVID-19 tests, allowing him to be able to return for the team in time against the Wizards.

With all he had to go through over the past week, Embiid's desire to play certainly only got deeper. It's just unfortunate that the struggling Wizards had to be the first ones to face his wrath.
