Philadelphia 76ers All-Star center Joel Embiid sent a cryptic tweet recently about feeling like he's been “deported.”

While fans can't confirm if Embiid was referencing to his All-NBA snub, it's possible that it is what the Sixers star is talking about since he views himself as one of the best players in the league.

Statistically, Joel Embiid played great for the Sixers in 2019-20. He averaged 23.0 points, 11.6 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 51 starts while shooting 47.7 percent from the field, 33.1 percent from beyond the arc and 80.7 percent from the free-throw line.

Despite Embiid's strong numbers, though, the Sixers were one of the most dysfunctional teams all season long. Philadelphia was not only one of the worst teams on the road during the regular season, but the team also got swept by the Boston Celtics in the first round of the 2020 playoffs at Walt Disney World.

However, Philly played without All-Star point-forward Ben Simmons, who hurt his knee in the seeding games and needed season-ending surgery. While it's not a guarantee they would have defeated the Celtics with Simmons in the lineup, odds are the team would have put up a better fight than they did.

After returning to Philadelphia from Orlando, the Sixers fired head coach Brett Brown. All eyes are going to be on general manager Elton Brand now, as he has big decisions to make this offseason.

First, Brand has to decide if he wants to keep Embiid and Simmons together, as the two stars continue to be a bad fit alongside each other. Secondly, Brand has to hire a new head coach. Thus far, they have been linked to Tyronn Lue and Mike D'Antoni.

It would also be smart for Brand to explore trading Tobias Harris and/or Al Horford. Both guys are making way too much money, which didn't reflect on their play on the court.
