Philadelphia 76ers star center Joel Embiid says he didn't mean to laugh during his postgame press conference after the Sixers' Game 2 win when he was talking about his elbow to Brooklyn Nets big man Jarrett Allen.

Embiid, who wasn't ejected and received a Flagrant 1 foul, says he apologized to Allen multiple times on the court during the game and also texted Nets forward Rondae Hollis-Jefferson to relay another apology.

Nets forwards Jared Dudley and Caris LeVert said on Wednesday Embiid was being disrespectful by laughing. The Sixers and Nets are tied at 1-1. Game 3 is on Thursday in Brooklyn.

Embiid's elbow to Allen was very vicious. Everyone involved was just happy that Allen didn't suffer a concussion. Expect Game 3 to be very physical. Hopefully, the Nets don't try and retaliate at Embiid.

Embiid is still dealing with left knee soreness. The Sixers' best player is averaging 22.5 points, 12.5 rebounds and 2.5 blocks through the first two games while shooting 48.1 percent from the field and 73.1 percent from the free-throw line. Embiid hasn't hit a 3-pointer yet, as he's 0-for-5.

Philly needs to win just one game in Brooklyn to reclaim home-court advantage.

The crowd in Brooklyn is probably going to boo Embiid every time he touches the ball in Games 3 and 4.
