The Philadelphia 76ers have been on a heater lately. Entering Wednesday night, the Sixers have won nine of their previous 11 games. That has vaulted them past the play-in tournament and into the top five in the Eastern Conference.

On Wednesday, the Sixers hosted the Orlando Magic. The matchup pitted Sixers superstar Joel Embiid against Mo Bamba in a battle of the big men. Bamba posted a career-high 32 points, but it was not enough as Philadelphia defeated the Magic 123-110.

In the win, Embiid joined Wilt Chamberlain as the only Sixers players to ever post multiple 50-point, 10 plus rebound games. Embiid finished the game with 50 points and 12 rebounds.

Embiid was extremely efficient, shooting 17 of 23 from the floor. He sank 15 of his 17 free throw attempts. Embiid even chipped in on the defensive end, posting three blocks and a steal.

The recent surge of wins has spurred the talk of moving Ben Simmons once again. After some time where the trade talks were mostly dormant, teams are seemingly popping up all over the place, expressing interest in Simmons.

The Sacramento Kings reportedly are looking to package a number of key players in attempts to pull off the trade.

Simmons has repeatedly states his plans to sit out the entire season if he does not get traded. That has put Daryl Morey in a difficult position. As the team continues to find ways to win games, a potential deep playoff run seems more and more possible. In order for that to happen, the team likely will need another star to alongside Embiid.
