Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid thinks that James Harden is very deserving of another NBA MVP award after his performance in Thursday night's game against the Golden Warriors.

Harden came through with two huge shots – one near the end of regulation and one with seconds left in overtime – to give the Houston Rockets a 135-134 victory at Oracle Arena.

Of course, one of the other most notable storylines entering the game was Harden's ridiculous 40-point scoring streak, and he hit that total once again by delivering 44 points and 15 rebounds while knocking down 10 3-pointers in the game.

That was enough for the Philly center to publicly reveal his vote for the league's MVP.

There are probably plenty of people that agree with Embiid's thoughts on this particular subject, as Harden has undoubtedly put together a tremendous run as of late.

As for Embiid, he's certainly had his own string of good play this season, with the former Kansas star now averaging 26.9 points 13.6 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks per game while helping the Sixers earn a 25-14 record to this point.

Embiid had his own 40-point scoring output this week, as he scored 42 points in Wednesday night's victory over the Phoenix Suns.

Luckily for Embiid and company, it'll be a few weeks before they match up against the Rockets, with Harden headed to Philly on Jan. 21.

Next up for the Sixers is a showdown with the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday night before preparing for back-to-back games against the Washington Wizards next week.
