Joel Embiid is one pretty strong fellow. Unfortunately for him, Jaxson Hayes felt the full wrath of Embiid on Friday as the Sixers took on the New Orleans Pelicans.

Here's Embiid showcasing his elite upper body strength against a hapless Hayes (h/t Yahoo Sports on Twitter):

Hayes proved absolutely no match to Embiid on this particular occasion. This, folks, is what they call bully ball. Hayes looked like a high school kid going up against a grown man here. In case you were wondering, the Pels center is listed at 6-foot-11 and 220 pounds so needless to say, he is no pushover. That's how powerful the Sixers big man is.

This play virtually serves as a manifestation of just how dominant Embiid had been this season. The Sixers superstar is one of the best players in the league today — not just in his position — which is why he's considered to be one of the front-runners to this year's Most Valuable Player trophy, second only to the Denver Nuggets' Nikola Jokic.

Embiid does have his faults, but it is clear that he has been working diligently on his upper body strength. The results have been staggering. In case you need further proof, just ask Jaxson Hayes.
