The next great center in the NBA, Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid, is continuing his path to stardom. He had his first All-Star appearance this past Sunday, he’s well-positioned to play in his first postseason come April, and now, he has also joined an elite company through vast production.

Basketball-Reference.com uncovered another feat for the Sixers center, and it had the young star getting in an impressive club with the likes of Hakeem Olajuwon, Tim Duncan, and Shaquille O’Neal:

In the list above, only two were not able to win an MVP award — Alonzo Mourning, who had a sea of competition during his prime years (1995-2000), and Ralph Sampson, whose career was shortened by injuries.

Nevertheless, considering the pace of Embiid’s progress beginning his debut in 2016, he should be on his way to winning an MVP or two, breaking records, and inserting himself into more select group of stat-stuffers in the future.

The scoring will always be there since his post presence and outside shot is constantly developing, but the scattered numbers on the boards, assists, etc. department are what will further push him into having more accolades such as the one he just had.

“The Process” is averaging 23.7 points, 11.3 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game this season. He has 28 double-doubles on the year, and in 17 of those, he either paired it with five-plus assists, three-plus steals or blocks, or both.

The Sixers will be back in action Thursday when they visit the Chicago Bulls. The season-series is tied at one apiece, but Embiid and company comfortably won the last meeting, 115-101, with the big man scoring a team-high 22.
