Philadelphia 76ers All-Star Joel Embiid will be held out of Tuesday's matchup against the Indiana Pacers due to knee soreness, according to Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer. The Sixers are looking to get back into the win column after consecutive losses.

Embiid had a big game in Sunday's overtime loss to the Miami Heat. The Cameroonian big man led the Sixers in scoring, posting 35 points on 11-of-16 shooting from the field (2-of-4 from beyond the arc), 11 rebounds, two assists and one block in 36 minutes of playing time. He also knocked down 11 of his 12 attempts at the free-throw line.

With Embiid ruled out for Tuesday night's game, the Sixers will likely give Kyle O'Quinn and Mike Scott additional playing time. Al Horford, who joined the team this offseason, could see an increased workload as well, especially since he's apparently not too happy with his role.

Joel Embiid has established himself as one of the best centers in today's NBA. He has made 29 appearances this season, racking up averages of 23.7 points on 47.7 percent shooting from the field (33.9 percent from beyond the arc), 12.4 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.4 blocks in 30.9 minutes per outing.

Tuesday's matchup between the Sixers and Pacers is scheduled to tip at 3:00 p.m. ET inside Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Indiana is also on a two-game losing skid. The Sixers have won 16 of 18 home games but have struggled on the road, going 7-10.
