The Philadelphia 76ers have been cruising the past few weeks on a seven-game win streak. Despite the success, they have had multiple issues with different injuries and COVID-19 cases.

Fortunately, young point guard Tyrese Maxey will join his team for their Wednesday night matchup against the Charlotte Hornets. This is according to The Athletic's Sixers writer Rich Hofmann, who tweeted the news less than two hours before tip-off.

Maxey has missed the Sixers' last four games after landing a spot on the team's COVID-19 list. This was a huge loss for the Sixers. The 21-year-old is having a breakout year with an average of 16.8 points, 4.5 assists, and 3.5 rebounds per game. Especially amid the absence of Ben Simmons, Maxey has been a main contributor to the team this year.

Meanwhile, Tobias Harris will continue to play for the Sixers, despite suffering from tendinitis.  Three-point shooter Seth Curry will suit up, after missing their last game due to an ankle injury. He was a game-time decision.

Joel Embiid has been the main contributor to the Sixers' winning streak, completely dominating since the end of December. The Philly big man recorded 31 points, eight rebounds, and six assists on Monday. This was their most recent win, a 111-91 finish against the Houston Rockets.
