Most NBA fans know that Steve Nash also plays soccer. Back in his playing years, he would dribble the ball with his feet during dead-ball situations. Joel Embiid, too, apparently has some soccer skills to boot. To test out who's better than the other, the two athletes played some soccer ping-pong for $1,000.

As posted by Bleacher Report, Embiid and Nash battled it out:

Embiid obviously has some skills that match-up against that of Nash. No wonder he puts on some impressive footwork on the basketball court. Some say that his footwork is reminiscent of NBA legend Hakeem Olajuwon. Not only do they have a smooth stroke from the outside, they also have some impressive footwork that renders their defenders helpless.

Soccer, in fact, was Embiid's sport growing up in Cameroon. He switched to basketball when he was 16. He even believes that if he pursued soccer, he would be playing in the Cameroon national soccer team right now.

In his game against Nash, Embiid might have lost but knowing him, he might want to get a shot at a rematch. Maybe they should battle it out in a real football field. Hopefully, the Sixers will allow Embiid to play. Football is his first sport anyway. He deserves to be able to go back to his first love.

Right now, his focus is in the playoffs where he's playing extremely well. In two playoff games so far, he's averaging 18.5 points per game, 9.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists. He also blocks four shots a game.
