After garnering a five-year, $148 million extension from the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday, center Joel Embiid is now listed as probable to make his preseason debut on Wednesday against the Brooklyn Nets, according to Jessica Camerato of CSN Philly.

The 7-footer has been ramping up activity in the last few weeks, extending to five-on-five scrimmages and now with a couple of practices under his belt during the weekend could look to make his first stint on the floor in hopes of helping the Sixers to a preseason wins after going 0-3.

Point guard Markelle Fultz is doubtful to play with right knee soreness.

Embiid recently noted he was ecstatic with his extension and looking forward to proving himself this season after the latter part of 2016-17 was cut short due to injury.

The second-year center noted he wanted to be a Sixer for his entire career, following his lucrative extension, which he signed during his mother's birthday.

“I think that was the best birthday gift ever,” said an overjoyed Embiid.

The Cameroonian international averaged 20.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks per game through 31 games in his rookie season.

Wednesday's game will be the last preseason outing for the Sixers prior to the start of the regular season.
