We've had masked LeBron James, masked Kyrie Irving, and now it's time for masked Joel Embiid.
The Philadelphia 76ers center has been out with an injury the last few weeks after suffering an orbital fracture to his face that sent him through the NBA concussion protocol.
With the playoffs and Embiid's return right around the corner, Embiid have fans a preview of the mask he may be wearing when he does come back:

And in classic Embiid fashion, he provides the perfect caption for the moment, definitely lightening the mood for any opponents who may be afraid of the new look.
Embiid and the Sixers are the hottest team in the NBA right now, winners of their last 14 with the playoffs about to start. This hot finish to the regular season has catapulted them ahead of the Cleveland Cavaliers in the standings, all the way up to third place in the Eastern Conference.
Philly will surely need a healthy Embiid to be a legit threat in the playoffs so that means Embiid will need to be able to play like his old self with the mask if needed. If he can, combined with Ben Simmons the Sixers could shock the NBA world and make a deep run through the playoffs.
