It appears the City of Brotherly Love has found its best tandem since beefsteak and melted cheese. In their second game together, Joel Embiid and James Harden put up another stellar showing for the Philadelphia 76ers, leading the team to a 125-109 thrashing of the New York Knicks on Sunday night.

Embiid finished with 37 points, built on a whopping 23 free throws. He added nine rebounds, three assists, and four blocks. Harden, meanwhile, tallied his first triple-double for the Sixers with 29 points, 10 rebounds, and 16 assists. He also added five steals.

They looked almost unstoppable all game, and Sixers coach Doc Rivers' strategy of putting his two All-Stars in pick-and-rolls worked to perfection (via ESPN).

“So now you're rolling the big guy down the middle and it's really difficult to come help and that's when we got him (Embiid) rolling and getting all those fouls.”

At this point, it's now a pick-your-poison proposition for the opponents of the Sixers. Will you focus on Embiid or Harden? Embiid willed his way to the paint against the Knicks with Harden attracting the defense. The Beard showed the magic he can do when given more freedom on offense, something that he didn't actually get with the Brooklyn Nets. And clearly, Embiid is all for it.

With the win, the Sixers improved to 37-23 and will once again face the Knicks on Wednesday.
