Early in his career, it's pretty easy to define Joel Embiid's character. He has skills — probably has great potential to be one of the best bigs in history. He also has supreme confidence and does not mince his words in letting the world know.

As reported by Ian Begley of ESPN, Embiid believes that this year is the Philadelphia 76ers' time. The 24-year-old Cameroonian is confident that the Sixers have the ability to reach the playoffs' finish line and claim that ring.

Embiid said:

“I think our time is now,” the All Star center said on Monday. “…. We have a special team, a lot of great guys. I don't think we need anybody else. We've just got to work with what we have. We have a special team, and I feel like we have a pretty good chance to go far.”

Philadelphia has been a revelation all season long. They are the third seed in the Eastern Conference, closing out the season with a 16-game winning streak. Now, they have a 3-1 series lead over the Miami Heat.
