The Philadelphia 76ers were on the losing end on Thursday, as they fell to the Washington Wizards, 119-113. This was the Sixers' seventh loss of the season, which once again, came on the road. Philadelphia remain undefeated at home in 10 contests, but for some reason, have gone 5-7 while playing away from home. Following the loss, several Sixers — namely superstar big man Joel Embiid, head coach Brett Brown, and forward Tobias Harris could not explain why their team continues to struggle on the road.

“I don’t know,” Embiid said, via Marc Narducci of The Philadelphia Inquirer. “We should have the same energy on the road that we have at home, so we have to correct that.”

Embiid's teammate, Harris — who was once again outstanding for Philadelphia with a game-high 33 points (13-of-28 from the floor, 4-of-4 from the line), seven rebounds, three assists, and a block — seemed to be just as dumbfounded as Embiid.

“We just haven’t been able to get wins right now,” he said.

Finally, coach Brown was asked to try and pinpoint the exact reason why his team's away form varies so significantly from their performances during home games. The 58-year-old shot-caller was completely honest with his response, as he did not even bother trying to find a cohesive explanation.

“I have no idea,” Brown said.

Philly will have a nice three-game home stretch coming up, which should help them get back to winning ways. They are off on Friday, but kick things off on Saturday as they face a struggling Cleveland Cavaliers side.
