A healthy Joel Embiid has proven to be one the league's premier big men. As a result, the Philadelphia 76ers are off to a competitive 6-5 start to the 2017-18 NBA season.

However, they face their biggest test of the year on Saturday as they take on the defending champion Golden State Warriors. Meanwhile, the Sixers young star gets ready to square off against the best defensive player in the league in Draymond Green. According to Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer, Embiid said he already had some choice words for Green over the summer:

“I told Draymond [Green] this summer that I was going to kick his a**,” Embiid said. “I can't wait to play against him because I love the way he talks trash and I feel like I'm kind of the same. So it's going to be a fun battle.”

Embiid's confidence should come as no surprise considering he is well-known for calling out almost everyone he has played against. Green is just the latest name to be added his list of matchups to look forward to.

While his confidence is encouraging for Sixers fans, Embiid will certainly have his hands full with the reigning Defensive Player of the Year. Not to mention the rest of the Warriors group that has been among the league's best defenses over the past few years.
