The rivalry between Sixers big man Joel Embiid and Detroit Pistons center Andre Drummond is must-see television, and Embiid made sure whoever was watching Saturday afternoon was entertained.

The Sixers beat the Pistons at home by a final score of 109-99. Joel Embiid was a monster from start to finish, as the All-Star scored 39 points and grabbed 17 rebounds in 34 minutes while shooting 10-of-18 from the field, 1-of-3 from beyond the arc and 18-of-23 from the free-throw line.

After the game, Joel Embiid trolled Andre Drummond and Zaza Pachulia in typical Embiid fashion:

Embiid had a filthy dunk on Drummond and stared the Pistons big man down afterwards. These two guys don't like each other one bit and it's fun to watch.

In their first meeting of the season, Drummond fouled out in the fourth quarter after fouling Embiid and then got ejected after picking up his second technical foul. Embiid celebrated and started taunting the Detroit crowd.

Andre Drummond only scored eight points on Saturday. He was in foul trouble most of the game. The Pistons are now 4-4 on the season, while the Sixers improved to 6-4.

Embiid and Drummond's rivalry began last season when Embiid said Drummond doesn’t play any defense after scoring 30 points and grabbing nine rebounds against him. Drummond saw the comment and replied on Twitter by saying, “See you Dec 2nd.”

Then, Joel Embiid said Andre Drummond can’t shoot ahead of their next matchup. Drummond countered by saying Embiid couldn’t play in back-to-backs because he was so injury prone. So yeah, these two All-Stars have no love for each other, and it only makes the NBA better when big men have a budding rivalry.
