Philadelphia 76ers star big man Joel Embiid worked extensively on his post moves at Sixers practice on Tuesday.

Embiid, who is expected to play against the Miami Heat on Wednesday, says his post-up game has been lacking lately:

“Just working on post moves. It's been lacking the past few games, just want to get back to it and try to be better, because I can do much better,” Embiid said, via Philly Voice.

“This year I've been facing up almost every single time, it's also because they double team me, so every time I catch the ball I try to see what the defense is going to do. If I don't have two feet in the paint, I always face up, but it's all about making quick moves.

“The main thing about being in the post is all about balance, and the whole season I felt like my balance has been off. Got to stay low and be ready for anything. When you stay high, that's when you turn the ball over, and I can see every time I'm high or I'm not low, it happens all the time. It's all about balance and staying low, and being decisive.”

Embiid is averaging 22.8 points and 12.3 rebounds per game on the season for the Sixers, who are 20-8. The two-time All-Star is shooting 46.1 percent from the field, 31.6 percent from beyond the arc and 81.1 percent from the free-throw line.

For the Sixers to win the championship this season, Embiid has to be a monster in the post. There isn't anyone in the league who can guard him one-on-one.

Sure, Embiid is going to see a handful of double-teams once the playoffs start, but if the Sixers superstar can make quick moves to the basket before the double-team comes, Embiid will feast down low.
