Sixers guard Josh Richardson has cleared the concussion protocol and could return to action soon.

Speaking to Sixers reporters on Tuesday, Richardson talked about his “weird” head injury:

“It’s just been weird,” Richardson said, via Kyle Neubeck of PhillyVoice. “Dark room for a few days, couldn’t even go to games, just trying to keep the sensory stuff low and figure it out. Last few days there has been some headaches and that’s what has been worrying me, but hopefully, it’s over with or close to it.”

Richardson has appeared in 47 games for the Sixers this season. He's averaging 13.9 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.1 assists while shooting 43.0 percent from the field, 32.5 percent from beyond the arc and 79.0 percent from the free-throw line.

The Sixers are 38-26 on the season. They are in sixth place in the Eastern Conference standings.

During his media session, Richardson also touched on the coronavirus and what NBA games would be like if fans weren't allowed in the stadium:

The NBA has already sent multiple memos to teams to prepare contingency plans in case they need to play games without fans in attendance due to the ongoing coronavirus. Teams have also been asked to identify “essential staff” to be present for such games if the need arises.

Soccer and basketball games in Europe have been played without fans in recent days.
