Philadelphia 76ers head coach Brett Brown will have to make minor adjustments with the way he shuffles his players on the floor, as it has been reported by Jeff Zilgitt of USA Today that 76ers shooting guard Justin Anderson is going to be sidelined for up to three weeks because of shin splints.

Anderson has been braving the pain for the past few games, but it has gotten to a point that the team thought resting would be the best option for the former Virginia Cavalier. In 10 games played this season, Anderson has averaged 5.0 points and 2.7 rebounds in just 12.7 minutes.

Anderson’s absence isn’t going to send the 76ers crashing down, but Brown will still have to tinker with minutes for a few Philly players.

In Anderson’s absence, the 76ers are expected to give more minutes to Robert Covington while Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot could also experience an uptick in minutes.

Anderson was selected by the Dallas Mavericks in the 2015 NBA Draft. He was traded by the Mavs to Philadelphia last February via a deal that sent Nerlens Noel to Dallas.

Based on his timetable of return, Anderson could be back on Dec. 2, when the 76ers play the Detroit Pistons at home.
