After a tumultuous rookie campaign blighted mainly with injury, Philadelphia 76ers guard Markelle Fultz is still viewed with plenty of promise. Despite only playing 14 games and dealing with a bizarre shooting issue, Fultz managed to crack ESPN's Top 100 list for the upcoming season. The youngster comes in at No. 93 on the list.

The No. 1 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft missed a good chunk of the season due to a shoulder injury that may or may not have been due to an attempt to rework his jumper. The former Washington Huskie returned in late March and finished the season with averages 7.1 points, 3.8 assists and 3.1 rebounds in 18.1 minutes per game as the Sixers secured the third seed in the Eastern Conference.

The highlight of Fultz's shortened season came in the last regular-season game when he posted a triple-double against the Milwaukee Bucks. The Sixers' bench mobbed the rookie, which showed how much that performance meant to the whole organization.

However, Fultz was given an even smaller role in the playoffs last season. Brett Brown had little choice but to play the raw point guard a meager 23 minutes in 4-1 series victory over the Miami Heat. The youngster didn't play a single minute in the second round against the Boston Celtics.

Still, Fultz has been working hard on his game this summer and has reportedly been showing progress, though there's still a long way to go. The inclusion on ESPN's list is likely a surprise to many, but he remains a talented prospect who could be in line for a breakout campaign if he figures out his issues.
