Philadelphia 76ers guard Markelle Fultz and NBA trainer Drew Hanlen have parted ways. As per Alex Kennedy of HoopsHype, the Sixers point guard and Hanlen are not working together anymore. Furthermore, they are not on speaking terms too.

To recall, Markelle Fultz trained with Drew Hanlen over the summer which stirred a lot of high expectations on the former first overall pick.

Hanlen, who has worked with the likes of Joel Embiid, Jayson Tatum, and Zach LaVine, was expected to repair Fultz's jump shot which was damaged by a shoulder injury.

Fultz has been part of the Sixers starting line up thus far, logging in 24.3 minutes per game. He also averages 9.3 points on 42.2 percent shooting, as well as 3.9 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.1 steals nightly. Despite the decent numbers, it's still pretty obvious that Fultz still has a broken jump shot. His confidence, too, seems affected based on his body language while on the floor.

Earlier this month, in a since-deleted tweet, Hanlen shared that Fultz is not yet a hundred percent healthy — a claim that the Sixers organization dismissed. Head coach Brett Brown rebutted Hanlen's statements, per Sarah Todd of philly.com.

“He's been playing basketball and doing well, he's fine,” Brown said of Fultz. “Nobody is 100 percent healthy, but he's healthy enough to play basketball like JJ [Redick] is and Joel [Embiid] is.”

Though we can only assume at this point, Hanlen's statements might be the main cause of the fallout. Be as it may, with or without Hanlen, there's still clearly something wrong with Markelle Fultz's shot and confidence.
