Philadelphia 76ers second-year shooting guard Markelle Fultz says he appreciated rapper J. Cole shouting him out in his latest song with 21 savage.

Markelle Fultz's first two seasons in the NBA have been a disaster. The former No. 1 overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft only played in 14 games during his rookie season due to scapular muscle imbalance and he's currently away from the Sixers rehabbing from thoracic outlet syndrome.

In 19 games this season for the Sixers, Markelle Fultz is averaging 8.2 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.1 assists while shooting 41.9 percent from the field, 28.6 percent from beyond the arc and 56.8 percent from the free-throw line. There have been rumors that the Sixers want to trade Fultz, but so far, it appears they haven't found a trade to their liking.

If you watched Fultz play in college, and then watched him last year and this season, you would think they are two completely different players. Something happened to Fultz's jump shot after he was drafted. J. Cole believes the Sixers messed up Fultz's shot, while there were rumors that the 20-year-old may have gotten into a motorcycle accident — although Fultz's agent denied that right away.

What we do know is that this story is the one of the strangest ones we have seen in NBA history.
