Philadelphia 76ers forward Mike Scott had a short night on Tuesday after sustaining an injury in Game 5 of the Sixers' first-round playoff series against the Brooklyn Nets.

According to Dave McMenamin of ESPN, Scott sustained a right heel contusion. The 30-year-old forward played just 13 minutes, finishing with only two points and four rebounds. The former Virginia standout has played significant minutes for the Sixers in the first four games of the series.

Despite losing one of their key reserves though, Philly did not have much trouble closing out the series. Philadelphia cruised to a 122-100 victory over the sixth-seeded Nets to win the series 4-1 and advance to the second round of the 2019 NBA Playoffs.

Joel Embiid had a strong performance for Philadelphia, finishing with 23 points on 9-for-18 shooting to go along with 13 rebounds and two assists. Ben Simmons racked up 13 points on top of six assists and five rebounds, while Tobias Harris added 12 points and eight boards.

JJ Redick and James Ennis added 11 points apiece, while Jimmy Butler posted nine points, five rebounds, five assists, three steals and a block for Philly. The 76ers shot an impressive 51 percent from the field, including 14 three-pointers, while limiting the Nets to just 38.7 percent clip from the field.

With the win, the Sixers advanced to the Eastern Conference semis for the second consecutive season. They will face the Toronto Raptors, who also closed out their series against the Orlando Magic with 115-96 win in Game 5 on Tuesday night at home.
