Brooklyn Nets point guard Spencer Dinwiddie has a dream, and that dream is simply to yam one down in the face of Sixers center Joel Embiid.

Reacting to Fox Sports personality Skip Bayless’ assessment that Joel Embiid is now the best player in the Eastern Conference following LeBron James’ decision to take his talents to Hollywood, Dinwiddie bared his plans to embarrass one of the best, if not the best, big men in the game today.

Dinwiddie’s bold declaration does not effectively make a meeting between the Nets and the Sixers a must-watch game, but it certainly adds flavor to it.

Embiid is among the few players considered as a “unicorn” in the NBA, but smaller guys posterizing him could be rarer than the mythical creature he symbolizes.

In any case, Spencer Dinwiddie does seem to have the hops to do it. Here’s a clip of him elevating for a slam against his former team, the Detroit Pistons.

Dinwiddie was a mild surprise last season. Taking advantage of the opportunity presented to him by the absences of D'Angelo Russell and Jeremy Lin due to injuries, Dinwiddie rose to the occasion and showed that he has a potential to become a vital cog for Brooklyn by averaging 12.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 6.6 assists in 80 games (58 starts) last season.

Joel Embiid usually does not let anyone talk trash to him, especially on social media, so Dinwiddie should brace for the center’s response.
