Things seem to betting just a bit worse for Jahlil Okafor.

The Philadelphia 76ers have recently dropped their asking price for teams interested in trading for the former No. 3 pick in the NBA draft, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

“Colangelo's asking price has steadily dropped for Okafor, from two first-round picks to a first and a solid player to where it stands now, a second-round pick,” league sources said told Wojnarowski.

Okafor's career hasn't gotten going since he was picked third by the 76ers in 2015. He's been mired by injuries, and now isn't getting any playing time whatsoever on a 76ers team that has studs like Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons.

Colangelo told ESPN that he continues to try getting the best deal possible, and is working with Okafor's agent to achieve that.

“We appreciate the effort that [Okafor] has put forth, and other than a little frustration expressed recently, he's been patient waiting for an opportunity to play,” Colangelo told ESPN. “I continue to explore opportunities with both Jahlil and [agent] Bill Duffy to find a more suitable spot for him.”

It would behoove both sides to find a quick solution to this quagmire. Okafor is too young and skilled not to be on an NBA roster, even if it's as a bench player.

From the sound of it, Okafor wants this situation resolved as quickly as possible.

“This really sucks,” Okafor told ESPN. “I want to play ball.”

For his career, Okafor has averaged 14.6 points, 5.9 rebounds, 1.1 blocks and 1.2 assists, according to Basketball Reference.
