Top “City Edition” jersey in NBA’s store since launch this season: The 76ers, per league sources. Philadelphia has Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons in top 10 in individual player jersey sales so far.

The uniform’s core displays the iconic circle of 13 stars derived from the boxing ring where Rocky Balboa first squared off against Apollo Creed, while the gray sweatsuit-textured base was influenced by both Adonis Creed’s and Rocky’s legendary training scenes throughout the streets of Philadelphia. The crisp blue, red and white waistband trim on the shorts is inspired by Rocky’s championship belt. Meanwhile, the phrase “PHILADELPHIA, USA,” is embroidered on the lower left hem of the jersey as a nod to the city’s fans, heart and determination.

The recent sales report also delivers an interpretation of how Philly's young Sixers stars are becoming powerful influences on basketball fans. At 6-foot-10, Simmons has recreated his own version of a Magic Johnson with his brilliant playmaking and ball-handling. On the other hand, Embiid's animated approach to the game has earned him the adoration of fans all over the world.
