Tobias Harris is facing an uncertain future in Philadelphia, as the Sixers are reportedly not willing to offer him a max contract. As a result, the door is now open for other teams to potentially lure him away.

Sub-max offers could be determining factors elsewhere as well. Tobias Harris, league sources said, is being offered less than a max contract by the Philadelphia 76ers, giving both the Dallas Mavericks and Denver Nuggets hope they can swoop in and lure him away. The Nuggets would have to renounce the rights to re-sign veteran power forward Paul Millsap, but a rival Western Conference executive said they appear willing to do that.
The Sixers acquired Harris, now 26 years of age, at this year's trade deadline, joining Jimmy Butler and Joel Embiid in what proved to he a formidable lineup.
Harris played well in Philly, and many experts feel that he will be looking to get paid this offseason. Whether he'll get a pay raise or not remains to be seen. Some analysts feel that he is worth a max deal, while others argue that he isn't. Just keep in mind that the NBA's salary cap is projected to rise to $109 million this summer, which is a $7.1 million increase from last year.
In his 27 appearances with the Sixers this past season (all starts), Harris racked up averages of 18.2 points on 46.9 percent shooting from the field (32.6 percent from beyond the arc), 7.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 35.0 minutes per outing.
