The Philadelphia 76ers are stashing another guard in their system following a report by Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports that the team has signed former Notre Dame Fighting Irish star point guard Demetrius Jackson to a two-way deal.

Jackson saw a total of 15 games in the NBA last season split between the Houston Rockets and the Sixers and averaged just 1.1 points, 0.8 rebounds, and 0.6 assists in a minuscule 5.3 minutes per contest. Jackson signed a two-way deal in August of last year with the Rockets and saw minimal minutes on the floor while Chris Paul was sidelined by an injury. Jackson would later see his two-way deal cut by Houston in January, though the Rockets did ink him to a 10-day deal shortly thereafter. Upon expiration of that contract, the Sixers signed Jackson to a two-way deal.

Because of his pair of two-way deals last season, Jackson spent most of his time in the G League during the 2017-18 campaign in which he played a total of 26 games for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers and the Delaware 87ers and finished with averages of 14.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 4.3 assists.

On another two-way deal with the Sixers, Demetrius Jackson will spend the majority of his days next season with the Delaware Blue Coats (formerly known as the 87ers).
