When Ben Simmons made it clear he wants out of the Philadelphia 76ers, rumors about Tyrese Maxey also wanting to get traded surfaced. After all, the young guard is also a Rich Paul client like the Australian playmaker, so it sounded plausible that the power agent doesn't want his player in Philly.

Apparently, however, that is far from the truth. Maxey is happy in the City of Brotherly love, though he admitted he and Paul couldn't help but laugh after hearing the ridiculous rumor, via Rich Hofmann of The Athletic.

To recall, after Ben Simmons told the Sixers organization that he doesn't have plans to report to training camp, Tyrese Maxey's name got thrown as a possible inclusion in any trade for Simmons being a Klutch client.

Jason Dumas of Bleacher Report fueled the speculations after he noted that Philadelphia-based organizations were allegedly told to cancel their plans on partnering with the 20-year-old since Rich Paul doesn't want him growing his roots in the city.

As Maxey said it, though, there is no truth to the said talks. He also emphasized his love for the team and the city regardless of what Simmons thinks about them.

With Simmons' time as the Sixers point guard likely over, Maxey will also have the chance to take over and get the starting role. Besides, head coach Doc Rivers is a big believer and knows what he can do both offensively and defensively.
