There has been some buzz surrounding the matchup between the Golden State Warriors and Philadelphia 76ers thanks to the comments made by young phenom Joel Embiid to superstar Draymond Green. Aside from the reigning Defensive Player of the Year, Embiid also mentioned how much he was looking forward to playing the rest of the Warriors star-studded cast as well.

It seems those feelings are reciprocated by two-time MVP Steph Curry. According to ESPN's Chris Haynes, Curry has been impressed with the rising Sixers so far in the 2017-18 NBA season:

“They're animals, playing at a very high level right now. It seems like they got a lot of momentum with the roster and those guys being healthy. It's great for the league obviously. These are young guys coming in and doing amazing things. It will be fun to get to know them on the court. They're tough. Their story is great for the league.”

Philadelphia has gotten off to a competitive 6-5 start prior to their matchup against the defending champions. Despite Embiid's small sample size, he has proven to be one of the league's most promising big men.

Meanwhile, Simmons has bounced nicely back from a foot injury that kept him out all last season by averaging 17.8 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 7.8 assists per game. Although this young team is still continuing to mesh, the confidence they have is evidently through the roof and for good reason.
