The relationship between former teammates Tobias Harris and Boban Marjanovic is perhaps one of the most endearing narratives in the league today. These two are the best of friends, and despite parting ways this summer, both guys have made an effort to keep their bond as strong as ever.

Harris, now with the Philadelphia 76ers, recently joked that his buddy Boban has now replaced him with a new BFF with the Dallas Mavericks in Luka Doncic. Truly devastating stuff here:

“We don't have a relationship no more,” Tobias Harris said, via ESPN's Tim Bontemps. “He's replaced me with Luka Doncic.”

Harris was obviously just kidding around, as the friendship between these two gentlemen appear as unbreakable as one could ever imagine. For his part, Boban shared how their closeness developed after both being traded by the Detroit Pistons to the Los Angeles Clippers in the middle of the 2017-18 season:

“I had family, he had his family, [so] you'd finish practice and go home,” Marjanovic said of their friendship in Detroit. “But after we got traded, we became super good friends.

“We only had each other at the time. … We didn't have anybody else, and it worked for us.”

After LA, both Harris and Marjanovic were once again traded together to the Sixers. Last summer, though, Boban signed with the Mavs as a free agent, finally ending their three-year spell as teammates. Nevertheless, the 7-foot-4 big man is adamant they'll remain the best of friends:

“Of course,” Marjanovic said. “We may not be on the same team, but friends stay friends forever.”

At this point, it's probably safe to say that this is going to be one of the most endearing and inspiring BFF tales we'll ever come across this season.
